Scouting is Fun with a Purpose

SCOUT ME IN

Cub Scouts is a program for girls and boys in the Kindergarten through fifth grades, ages 5-10. We teach children the core values of Scouting while having lots of fun. Cub Scouts belong to small groups of children called Dens. Dens meet weekly or every other week a month all the dens come together for Pack meetings.

  • BSA offers programs for all children ages 5 and older.

  • We have 1 pack meeting (all cub scouts) and 2 den meetings a month with cubs in their own age group. Perfect attendance is not required however attending meetings does help scouts finish achievements faster and build friendships with other scouts.

  • Our pack dues are $50 per year and annual registration fee for youth to join Scouting is $115 for new members. There may be additional program or activity fees here or there throughout the year. Of course, these costs may be offset by Pack fundraising and other available scholarship funds.

  • Yes! Pack 4 is a “Family Pack”, this means that we have age assigned dens (cohort of scouts) that include both boys and girls. Additionally we are very intentional about making sure that we schedule events in a way that better accommodates families with multiple scouts and those with just a single scout in the pack.

  • There are a few events and activities that do have minimum age requirements. But most pack and other cub scout events are family friendly.
